Picture this: You're a Catholic ministry searching for grants and happened to encounter the Christian Foundation Grants (CFG) website. We've got some pretty exciting resources and tools, but obviously you are most interested in the database. We seem to have a strong Christian focus, but wait! Don't leave yet just because it doesn't necessarily suit your focus! We've made sure that our database is one of the most comprehensive for all types of organizations- Methodist, Catholic, Episcopal etc.
Let me give you a better idea of the the vast variety of foundations available to you. We just finished adding new foundations into New York- a little over 60 new ones to be precise. I went through about 40 of these new ones to analyze their giving habits and here is what I found: 15 foundations gave to just Catholic organizations, 2 gave just to Episcopal organizations, and 20 gave to various denominations.
That is just a snapshot though of the whole entire database. Let me answer a couple questions though to clarify things.
-- Does this mean almost all the foundations in our database gives to Catholic organizations?
No, the giving varies by state and size of the foundation.
-- So would I have to search in certain states to find foundations that would support my organization?
With such a large database, it is certain that you will find at least one foundation in each state that gives to your type of organization. The only thing you have to pay attention to is the limitations in case a foundation will not give out of state.
-- Could I see a foundation to give me an idea of the general information provided?
Absolutely! Email us at info@christianfoundationgrants.com with a subject line of: Sample Foundation Request. If you want to see a sample foundation that gives to your specific denomination, please make that note in your email.
